Ballyrags is bringing a night of TV comedy to a new venue at The Needles Landmark Attraction in Alum Bay.

Adam Bloom is a British comedian known for his rapid-fire delivery, intelligent wordplay, and sharp observational humour. A regular at the Edinburgh Fringe, he has appeared on numerous TV and radio shows. Support acts TBC.

Adam Bloom is a highly respected British stand-up comedian, writer, and performer known for his sharp observational humour, rapid-fire delivery, and meticulous joke-writing. Ricky Gervais has praised him as “one of his favourite stand-up comedians,” highlighting Bloom’s influence on the comedy scene.

Making his mark at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in the 1990s, Bloom earned critical acclaim for his solo shows, gaining a reputation as one of the most original and dynamic comedians in the UK. He has performed at major comedy festivals worldwide, including Just for Laughs in Montreal, the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, and Kilkenny Cat Laughs.

A familiar face on television, Bloom has appeared on Mock the Week, Never Mind the Buzzcocks, and The Stand-Up Show. He also created and starred in BBC Radio 4’s The Problem with Adam Bloom, which showcased his ability to blend humour with insightful commentary.

Beyond stand-up, Bloom is a sought-after comedy writer, contributing to numerous TV and radio projects. He is also the author of Finding Your Comic Genius, a highly rated book (4.8 stars on Amazon) that guides aspiring comedians in mastering the art of stand-up. His influence on UK comedy remains strong, with many comedians citing him as a major inspiration.
