Stand Up for Veterans – The Veteran

Join us for Ballyrags Comedy Club’s very first charity night, supporting the incredible work of The Veteran Pub in Ryde. We’ve gathered a cracking line-up of comedians for an evening of laughter that means something. Taking the stage are the sharp and insightful Joe Fortis, the always-entertaining Grant Allen, the heartfelt and hilarious Rae Lloyd, and the unpredictable energy of Irish—a brilliant mix of talent from both civilian and service backgrounds, all united for a great cause.

Why We’re Doing This
This gig is more than a great night out—it’s about giving back. The Veteran Pub in Ryde is a not-for-profit pub and hotel that exists to support veterans in any capacity they need. Whether it’s offering temporary accommodation for homeless veterans, providing respite breaks for those dealing with PTSD, or simply being there for those who reach out, The Veteran is a lifeline for many. All profits go straight back into helping those who’ve already given so much.

How You Can Help
Tickets are completely free—but instead of paying for entry, we ask you to make a donation if you can. Every contribution, big or small, helps continue the amazing work The Veteran does day in and day out. There will be collection buckets at the event, or you can donate easily when you book your tickets. Together, we can make a real impact—through laughter, generosity, and community spirit.
