Founded by Luc Valvona, the Isle of Wight School of Comedy has been running for a number of years, with successful students having made the stage at Ballyrags and beyond!

Absolutely! Our courses are designed to be accessible for everyone, whether you’re a complete beginner or someone with some experience looking to refine their skills. We create a supportive and fun environment to help you find your comedic voice at your own pace.
Our course provides hands-on experience, constructive feedback, and a structured approach to developing your comedy skills. You’ll learn joke-writing techniques, stagecraft, and the art of storytelling, all while building confidence and connecting with like-minded people.
By the end of the course, you’ll have developed a solid five-minute set and gained the skills to perform at open mics or even audition for gigs. Many of our students go on to pursue comedy as a hobby or career
Yes! The course includes opportunities for live performances, including a showcase event where you can try out your material in front of a supportive audience.
We cover joke writing, storytelling, timing, stage presence, dealing with hecklers, and much more. It’s a comprehensive introduction to the art of stand-up comedy.
