Manic energy, a quick wit and a habit of arriving at ridiculous punchlines from directions you didn't see coming — that's Simon Emanuel. The Welshman has been working the circuit since 2008, sharpening an abstract, far-flung delivery that makes him a firm favourite wherever he turns up, here and across Europe.

The credits have stacked up the honest way, gig by gig. He took the Welsh Unsigned Stand Up of the Year title in 2013, was a regular voice on BBC Radio Wales's Jamie Owen show, and made his TV stand-up debut on the BBC's Stand Up For Sesh. More recently he's co-hosted the runaway hit podcast The Problematic Pub, which cleared 30 million streams in its first year and turned into a sold-out tour.

What you get is a comic who treats the obvious answer as a starting point and keeps going until the room is somewhere stranger and funnier. High-octane, unpredictable, never short of a gag.
