Robert White

FuBar

Chaos, charm and a keyboard — Robert White is one of the most distinctive acts working, and you won't see his like twice. The gay, autistic, quarter-Welsh comic trades in off-the-wall one-liners, improvised songs and interactive musical mayhem, all delivered with timing far sharper than the chaos lets on.

Most will know him from Britain's Got Talent 2018, where a fantastically rude song about the judges earned a standing ovation on the way to a runner-up finish. But the graft long predates the telly: he started in 2004, reached the Hackney Empire final in 2006, and took the Malcolm Hardee main award at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2010. Off stage he's also a sought-after speaker on autism and neurodiversity.

No two of his shows are the same, because half of it is invented in the moment from whatever the room hands him. Funny, fast and genuinely one of a kind.

Exactly the unpredictable spark we like on a Friday.
