Adam Bloom
The Needles
When Ricky Gervais calls you one of his favourite stand-up comedians, you've earned the headline slot. Adam Bloom brought his rapid-fire delivery, intelligent wordplay and meticulously built jokes to a spectacular new setting — The Needles Landmark Attraction in Alum Bay.
A highly respected British comic, writer and performer, Adam made his name at the Edinburgh Fringe in the 1990s and went on to play Just for Laughs in Montreal, Melbourne and Kilkenny Cat Laughs. He's appeared on Mock the Week, Never Mind the Buzzcocks and The Stand-Up Show, created BBC Radio 4's The Problem with Adam Bloom, and even wrote the book on it — Finding Your Comic Genius, 4.8 stars and counting. Many comedians cite him as a major inspiration; on this night you got to see why.
Hosted by Toby Brown with music from Shufflah. A comedian's comedian, in a setting to match.
