Some comedians want you to like them. Radu Isac would rather you laughed at the joke you know you shouldn't. The London-based Romanian is the genuine article: darkly funny, sugar-coated cynicism delivered with venomous wit and a glittery twist.

He cut his teeth in Bucharest, where he earned the title of the "comedian's comedian" — the one other comics quietly worship. His current tour, Sadly Funny, brings that uncompromisingly honest, intelligently subversive perspective to rooms across the country — and now to ours.

Since moving to the UK in 2015 he's become a standout voice on the British circuit: a finalist in English Comedian of the Year, seen on Comedy Central's Stand Up Express and a string of BBC programmes including Radio 4's Fresh From the Fringe, and a warm-up act for the likes of Louis CK and Jim Gaffigan.
